I have a friend that is an outstanding salesman. He reads all of the books, listens to all of the lectures, practices techniques in every aspect of his life.

The best piece of advice he gave me regarding sales is to stop thinking about my needs and what I can get out of the deal, and focus on the needs of others and what I can give.
